Matthew Stafford is dealing with three different injures - thumb, ribs, ankle. The #Lions are once again playing in a meaningless Week 17 game with no playoff implications.

Matthew Stafford is playing.

Let's appreciate Stafford‘s toughness.

You always feel for good QBs who played for horrible teams their whole career. Stafford has holes in his game but he’s tough as hell and could do damage with a good support system. This off-season is going to be fun

You all raised awareness & money for @sickkids, some in my daughter’s name. We’re truly humbled & thankful. Thank you everyone for reaching out and thank you @VancityReynolds for bringing light to The Sick Kids building in more ways than one.

I don’t post much these days but wanted to say how special @sickkids is, what they’ve done for my family, thank @SNFaizalKhamisa for being an inspiration & someone like @VancityReynolds for making a difference. Hope to get Ryan on a Sportsnet platform soon to spread the word

& anyone who got to work road games in studio with him knows how special those nights were. He clawed his way into that booth. And regardless of today's announcement, I'm so proud of what he has accomplished so far as a friend, a father and a broadcaster.

I just turned 40 and have worked with him off & on for more than half my life. I wouldn't have survived early on without his guidance and I'll never forget how he made me feel like a part of something. First one to do so. He gave endless co workers unsolicited time...

You either hated or loved Mike Wilner on radio. There's no grey. He made endless content on Jays Talk, even when the team was irrelevant. Hell, he probably hung up on you. He learned at the foot of Tom Cheek and understood the importance of that role. never took it for granted...

Sparse good news in our little sports media world lately, so thank you to everyone who made sure Don Banks won the Dick McCann Award. Banks belongs in Canton. Wish he was around to enjoy it.

We’ve heard that the NHL and NHLPA have come to a tentative agreement on extending player contracts and work permits for players whose contracts were set to expire on June 30.

We expect that the contracts will be extended to a date in late October or early November.

Regarding the Gronk trade terms, the Patriots really didn't have much leverage. If Gronk signed his papers to unretire, he would have been on the books for a $12M cap hit for a team that only had about $1M in space.

Exactly. They moved up three rounds. Gronk wasn’t going to unretire to just get moved to the highest bidder. Tampa or staying a WWE champ

Gronk also looked much bigger (way bigger than when we sat down with him in October) when he was talking to Andy Cohen... also, Andy Cohen breaking NFL news is perfectly in line with how 2020 is going.

Sources: Retired #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has told New England that he’s interested in playing football again — and would want to do it with the #Bucs and QB Tom Brady. A trade would have to be worked out for this to happen.

Pats need a TE... actually 2 TEs... Also need a 2nd rounder... OJ Howard has not fit in at all in Tampa. A 2nd Rounder for Brady's security blanket doesn't seem all that steep.
